Accounting Manager – II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead a team accountable for comprehensive accounting operations across designated regions or countries.

• Supervise payroll accounting, fixed assets, cash management, operating expenses (OPEX), and intercompany transactions.

• Ensure that financial requirements and reporting responsibilities are fulfilled for the assigned countries.

• Establish departmental objectives and individual goals, while providing constructive feedback.

• Act as an escalation point for intricate accounting challenges.

• Ensure adherence to internal policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.

• Assist the Controller and business leaders with monthly closing activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial assessments.

• Contribute to consolidated financial analysis and offer commentary on fluctuations.

• Oversee internal control testing and facilitate internal and external audits, including statutory and quarterly reporting.

• Collaborate with operations and finance teams on annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, ad-hoc reporting, and initiatives for process enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience, ideally in an accounting firm or multinational organization.

• Experience in a managerial or team leadership capacity.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or a recognized professional qualification.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and policies.

• Proficiency in the complete close process, including journal entries, invoicing, accruals, expense distribution, and ad-hoc reporting.

• Capability to work efficiently with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Experience in business controls and process enhancement is advantageous.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
