Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise the monthly closing process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Ensure the accuracy of accounts, proper reconciliation, and adequate support.

• Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, reporting, and reconciliations, which include landed costs and cost of goods sold.

• Reconcile pending deposits, clearing accounts, payment processors, and marketplace settlements.

• Proactively detect accounting errors, unusual balances, and discrepancies.

• Create and implement procedures that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.

• Review accounting tasks, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

• Over 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in e-commerce, retail, or inventory-heavy businesses.

• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, and the preparation of financial statements.

• Advanced proficiency in balance sheet accounting, reconciliations, inventory valuation, and COGS.

• Experience in independently managing the month-end close process.

• Proficient in QuickBooks Online and possess advanced Excel skills.

• Strong skills in investigation, analysis, and problem-solving.

• Experience in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and enhancing accounting processes.
