Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise the monthly closing process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and the preparation of financial reports.

• Ensure that accounts are precise, appropriately reconciled, and substantiated.

• Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, reporting, and reconciliations, including landed costs and cost of goods sold.

• Reconcile pending deposits, clearing accounts, payment processors, and settlements from marketplaces.

• Actively identify accounting errors, unusual balances, and discrepancies.

• Create and implement procedures to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.

• Review accounting activities, offer guidance, and ensure that deadlines are adhered to.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory.

• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in e-commerce, retail, or an inventory-heavy business.

• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, and the preparation of financial statements.

• Advanced understanding of balance sheet accounting, reconciliations, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold.

• Proven experience in independently managing the month-end closing process.

• Proficient in QuickBooks Online and possess advanced Excel skills.

• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and enhancing accounting processes.
