This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Assist the Controller in overseeing daily accounting operations.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts across all sites and address any discrepancies.
• Execute bookkeeping tasks and ensure accurate accounting records are maintained in QuickBooks.
• Oversee the complete accounts payable process, which includes vendor invoice entry, coding, and approval workflow.
• Maintain vendor records and W-9 forms, and address vendor inquiries.
• Reconcile vendor balances and statements with the accounts payable subledger.
• Lead and execute the monthly financial closing process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and closing checklists.
• Prepare and examine monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements along with supporting schedules.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, dashboards, and KPI reports.
• Aid in payroll processing and payroll tax compliance reporting.
• Support the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Help to establish and uphold internal financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with external audits, tax filings, and financial reviews.
• Identify and facilitate the implementation of improvements to accounting processes and reporting infrastructure as Apollo Behavior continues to grow.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Controller.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is mandatory.
• 4–7 years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including direct involvement with bank and credit card reconciliations, monthly closings, general ledger accounting, and accounts payable.
• Experience with US-based companies is essential.
• Solid understanding of GAAP, payroll administration, and internal financial controls.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or Sage is required.
• Advanced skills in Excel are necessary.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational competencies, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to convey financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
