Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead a team that manages comprehensive accounting operations across designated regions or countries.

• Supervise payroll accounting, fixed asset management, cash handling, operating expenses, and intercompany transactions.

• Ensure adherence to financial requirements and reporting obligations for the assigned countries.

• Establish departmental objectives and individual goals while providing constructive feedback.

• Act as a point of escalation for complex accounting challenges.

• Guarantee compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and internal control measures.

• Assist the Controller and business leaders with monthly closing activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial analysis.

• Contribute to consolidated financial assessments and offer commentary on fluctuations.

• Oversee internal control testing and aid in internal and external audits, including statutory and quarterly reports.

• Work collaboratively with operations and finance teams on annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, ad-hoc reporting, and process enhancement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant experience, ideally within an accounting firm or multinational corporation.

• Background in a managerial or team leader position.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, or a recognized professional qualification.

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and policies.

• Expertise in the complete close process, including journal entries, invoicing, accruals, expense distribution, and ad-hoc reporting.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Experience in business controls and process improvement is an advantage.

• Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
