Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance the Program Collections team responsible for OPR and Cost Share activities.

• Ensure that OPRs and cost share invoices are precise, substantiated, validated, and compliant prior to collection initiatives.

• Manage communications with participants, employees, and employers regarding outstanding amounts.

• Guarantee prompt collection, application, tracking, and reconciliation of payments.

• Facilitate the accurate transfer of cost share payments to the state while maintaining tracking and reporting.

• Evaluate collection trends, assess outcomes, and execute corrective measures as necessary.

• Confirm that garnishments and child support withholdings are recorded promptly and accurately.

• Drive process enhancements to decrease recurring errors, limit disputes, and lessen dependence on individual expertise.

• Frequently collaborate with finance, program operations, HR, and external parties.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

• Relevant experience may be accepted as a substitute for formal education.

• Background in managing or supervising a collections, billing, or financial operations team.

• Strong knowledge of financial controls, documentation standards, and reconciliation procedures.

• Demonstrated capability to pinpoint process deficiencies and apply enhancements.

• Excellent communication abilities, including clear, professional, and compassionate messaging.

• Competence in collaborating with cross-functional partners and navigating intricate program regulations.

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

• Discretion and professionalism in managing sensitive financial conversations.
