Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and enhance the Program Collections team that supports OPR and Cost Share initiatives.

• Ensure that OPRs and cost share invoices are precise, justifiable, validated, and compliant prior to collection actions.

• Supervise communications with participants, employees, and employers regarding outstanding amounts.

• Guarantee timely collection, application, tracking, and reconciliation of payments.

• Facilitate the accurate pass-through of cost share payments to the state.

• Evaluate collection trends, oversee results, and take corrective measures as necessary.

• Ensure that garnishments and child support deductions are recorded promptly and accurately.

• Drive process enhancements to reduce recurring errors, limit disputes, and lessen dependency on individual knowledge.

• Collaborate regularly with finance, program operations, HR, and external partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education.

• Experience in managing or supervising a collections, billing, or financial operations team is required.

• Strong knowledge of financial controls, documentation standards, and reconciliation procedures.

• Demonstrated ability to identify process deficiencies and implement enhancements.

• Outstanding communication skills with clear, professional, and empathetic correspondence.

• Capacity to collaborate with cross-functional partners and navigate complex program regulations.

• High attention to detail and accuracy is essential.

• Maintain discretion and professionalism when addressing sensitive financial matters.
