Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Honduras.

📋 Description

• Work remotely from anywhere within LATAM and the Philippines.

• Work Schedule: Flexible hours aligned with US Timezone, requiring at least 4 hours of overlap with US business hours.

• Take complete ownership of the month-end closing process.

• Oversee vendor management and payables through an advanced spend management platform.

• Proactively drive process enhancements in preparation for the company's first external audit.

• Achieving success means independently managing the close by day 60 and presenting a roadmap for systems improvements by day 90, with a clearly defined growth trajectory towards a Controller position.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience at the Accounting Manager level or equivalent.

• Proven end-to-end ownership of a comprehensive month-end closing process, not limited to single functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or tax.

• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP accounting principles in a U.S.-based or U.S.-reporting organization.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, demonstrated through complex reconciliations, multi-entity consolidation, or financial modeling.

• Experience in project-managing the entire closing process across multiple workstreams, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.

• Full-time availability without any concurrent clients or independent accounting engagements.

• C1+ English proficiency (CEFR) for effective vendor-facing and cross-functional communication.

• Practical experience with NetSuite, Ramp, ADP Workforce Now, or similar ERP/spend-management systems.

• Experience in audit preparation or ensuring audit readiness.

• Background in businesses with multi-location, multi-entity structures, or private equity-backed roll-ups.

• Proven track record in systems implementation or finance process improvements.
