Accounting Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Foster and maintain client relationships

• Take responsibility for the preparation, review, and distribution of precise and timely monthly financial statements for 20-40 clients

• Oversee and mentor the preparer team to ensure high-quality financial outputs and robust client profitability

• Engage with clients through Slack and email, addressing inquiries and gathering necessary information for financial closures

• Organize and establish new accounting records for newly acquired clients

• Enhance processes and systems in a role that offers significant autonomy

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting

• Strong comprehension of month-end closing procedures and financial reporting

• Proven experience in reviewing the work of others, such as bookkeepers or junior accountants

• Highly organized with the capability to manage multiple clients at once

• Excellent communicator, comfortable interacting directly with founders
