Accounting Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the daily month-end closing processes, which includes journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and executing checklists.

• Aid in the documentation for hedge accounting and the methodology for effectiveness testing prior to initiating the first hedge trades.

• Create ongoing monthly mark-to-market entries and conduct effectiveness assessments once the hedge program is operational.

• Outline the current closing calendar, associated tasks, and identify any bottlenecks.

• Assist in the development of FloQast, which encompasses reconciliation templates, task lists, and checklists.

• Provide training to the accounting team on the FloQast platform.

• Generate recurring monthly reports as well as ad-hoc reporting as needed.

• Support the ERP cutover process, including validation of data conversion, reconciliations during parallel runs, and true-ups of opening balances.

• Collaborate with the Accounting Manager, Director of Accounting, and CFO across various workstreams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong practical experience in month-end closing processes, covering reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.

• Familiarity with derivative or hedge accounting (ASC 815) is highly advantageous.

• Previous experience with ERP transitions or cutovers is significantly beneficial.

• Proficiency in NetSuite, QuickBooks, and FloQast.

• Background in the CPG industry and possession of a CPA is preferred.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and ready to contribute from the first day.

• Must have authorization to work in the United States.

• Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.
