Accounting Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the onboarding process for new clients and establish accounting systems.

• Oversee daily bookkeeping activities, including managing accounts payable and receivable, conducting monthly closings, and generating financial reports and analyses.

• Utilize company software for accounting, reporting, and tax-related functions.

• Prepare payroll, sales tax returns, depreciation schedules, and other accounting documents.

• Assist in audits and reconciliations as needed.

• Analyze financial information to project revenue and assess profit margins.

• Prepare and submit U.S. corporate and individual income tax returns, including 1099s and year-end filings.

• Research intricate tax and accounting issues, offering practical solutions.

• Participate in special projects and aid in the preparation of financial reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as accounting, finance, economics, or business.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and/or taxation.

• Holding a Turkish CPA (SMMM) License is a significant advantage.

• Experience in outsourced accounting services is highly beneficial.

• Familiarity with USGAAP is a considerable plus.

• Proficient knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

• Experience with accounting software systems is highly regarded.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Business English; all interviews will be conducted in English.

• Capability to perform sophisticated and innovative analysis of complex data.

• A quantitative and analytical mindset.

• Excellent cross-group collaboration abilities.

• Highly organized, with strong multitasking capabilities and the ability to function in ambiguous settings.

• Proficient in prioritizing tasks and multitasking in a dynamic work environment.
