Accountant, LATAM Accounting Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily accounting operations for the Argentine legal entity.

• Utilize SAP to ensure that accounting information is accurately recorded and preserved.

• Generate accounting data, analyses, and reports needed for group reporting.

• Assist in month-end and other routine closing and reporting tasks.

• Collaborate with external accounting and tax service providers as necessary.

• Potentially assist with payroll-related tasks in conjunction with an external payroll provider.

• Ensure that accounting documentation and data are thorough, precise, and submitted punctually.

• Coordinate specific accounting processes throughout the LATAM region, especially in Brazil and Mexico.

• Serve as a primary liaison for external accounting firms supporting operations in Brazil and Mexico.

• Facilitate the exchange of financial and accounting information with external providers.

• Monitor the timeliness, completeness, and quality of information received from local providers.

• Follow up on pending information and resolve accounting-related inquiries.

• Assist in the preparation and consolidation of information necessary for group reporting across LATAM.

• Collaborate closely with internal Finance stakeholders to ensure consistent and timely reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in accounting, preferably within an international organization or setting.

• Solid understanding of accounting processes and financial reporting.

• Practical experience using SAP.

• Keen attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.

• Capability to work independently and take ownership of designated responsibilities.

• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with external service providers and stakeholders across various countries.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Comfortable operating in a dynamic, international environment.

• Experience with payroll processes is an asset.

• Background in working with accounting providers or shared service environments is preferred.

• Familiarity with LATAM accounting, especially in Argentina, Brazil, or Mexico is desirable.

• Experience supporting group reporting or engaging with multinational organizations is a plus.

• Must reside in Argentina.
