This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.
• Oversee and manage a substantial portfolio of accounting clients
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality services in a timely manner and manage accurate billing
• Cultivate and maintain client relationships, focusing on satisfaction and retention
• Strategically plan work and provide leadership, oversight, and guidance to team members
• Supervise deliverables in areas including corporate secretarial, accounting, tax, payroll, MPF, immigration, mailroom, and nominee director services
• Apply accounting frameworks along with Hong Kong financial reporting and regulatory standards
• Gain insight into client operations, processes, and business goals
• Review and/or prepare management accounts, schedules, profits tax calculations, payroll reports, employer’s returns, and statutory submissions
• Offer fundamental consultancy advice on accounting, tax, payroll, and corporate secretarial issues
• Accurately prepare unaudited and group unaudited financial statements and profits tax returns
• Uphold professional standards and maintain strict confidentiality with clients
• Participate in various stages including video, technical, behavioral, and reference checks
• Complete necessary background screenings with client consent
• Over 5 years of accounting experience with a focus on a portfolio of international clients
• Proficient in spoken and written Cantonese/Mandarin and English
• Recognized degree or diploma in Accountancy
• Preferred qualifications include ACCA, HKICPA, or an equivalent
• 5–7 years of relevant experience for candidates who are not or are not yet professionally certified; 2–3 years for those who are certified
• Practical experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft applications
• Familiarity with cloud accounting software; experience with Xero is a strong advantage, ideally with at least one year
• Experience using productivity software
• Self-driven, positive, proactive, and detail-oriented
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
• Must reside in Malaysia with a suitable home office setup and dependable high-speed internet
• Must have the legal capability to work in Malaysia; employment pass sponsorship is not available
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Hong Kong/Malaysia time
