Accountant – Audit Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Prepare and record journal entries.

• Conduct monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts.

• Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions while liaising with global teams.

• Perform variance analysis and clarify discrepancies in financial data.

• Assist internal and external audits by supplying necessary documentation.

• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analyses.

• Offer insights and analyses for areas needing management attention.

• Analyze and report on cash flow to facilitate effective cash management.

• Support Order to Cash processes, including revenue and billing systems.

• Provide coverage for the audit process to ensure compliance with audit requirements.

• Work with various platforms including NetSuite, MAXIO, Abacum, Yokoy, Stripe, CRM, and other internal systems.

• Deliver comprehensive accounts receivable reporting and financial analysis to aid decision-making.

• Collaborate with stakeholders from both business and finance teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is mandatory.

• Recognized accounting certifications (CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent) are required.

• Profound understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).

• A minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a technology firm, shared services, or multinational setting.

• Preferably familiar with SaaS billing, principles of recurring revenue, multi-entity consolidation, and multi-dimensional general ledger reviews.

• Initiated career in audit with a solid grasp of audit requirements and statutory account preparation.

• Advanced MS Excel skills (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and various formulas).

• Proficient in accounting software such as NetSuite (preferred), QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.

• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

• Willingness to work during the Central European Time / UK Timezone shift.
