Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain precise financial information for designated general ledger and financial statement areas.

• Prepare comprehensive and accurate monthly journal entries for both the Medical Center and Medical Foundation by the specified closing date.

• Aid in the preparation of monthly financial statements, statistics, and the narrative for financial statements intended for reporting to the Board of Trustees and Corporate office.

• Reconcile, analyze, and make necessary adjustments to general ledger accounts.

• Ensure accurate details support general ledger account balances.

• Assist in various annual budget aspects, including capital budget, segments of the operating budget, budget analysis, and budget package preparation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration in accounting is mandatory.

• A minimum of four years of accounting experience is essential.

• Familiarity with computer accounting systems is required.

• Proficiency in spreadsheets is necessary.

• Capability to communicate financial information effectively in both written and oral formats.

• Ability to execute tasks and complete projects with minimal oversight.

• Knowledge of accounting practices within the hospital/healthcare industry is preferred.
