Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee Accounts Receivable functions, including invoicing, processing manual payments, generating aging reports, and reconciling accounts.

• Record regular journal entries and bank transactions.

• Input accounts payable invoices and credit card transactions.

• Execute month-end closings and perform account reconciliations.

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial information, making necessary corrections and adjustments.

• Conduct bank reconciliations.

• Provide assistance to accounting team members as needed.

• Maintain precise financial records and generate timely reports.

• Support internal controls and budgeting activities.

• Ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

• Collaborate with various business units to gain operational insights and implement departmental initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 1–2 years of experience in accrual-based accounting, encompassing AR, journal entries, month-end closing, and bank reconciliations.

• Proven competency in an accounting role.

• Reliable with consistent and dependable attendance.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Comfortable engaging with all organizational levels.

• Capable of planning, organizing, and effectively managing projects.

• Strong attention to detail with exceptional proofreading and editing skills.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced setting, prioritize tasks, and work autonomously.

• Highly self-driven and proactive.

• Must complete a full application, including screening questions and a brief pre-employment test.

• Must have authorization to work in the country where the position is located.

• Must be willing to undergo a Level II background and/or security investigation with fingerprinting.
