Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the Accounts Receivable functions, which includes invoicing, manual payment application, producing aging reports, and reconciling accounts.

• Record standard journal entries and bank transactions.

• Input accounts payable invoices and credit card transactions.

• Execute month-end closings and perform account reconciliations.

• Investigate and rectify discrepancies in financial data, implementing necessary corrections and adjustments.

• Carry out bank reconciliations.

• Provide support to accounting team members as needed.

• Maintain precise financial records and generate timely reports.

• Assist with internal controls and budgeting processes.

• Ensure adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

• Collaborate with various business units to gain operational insights and implement departmental initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 1–2 years of experience in accrual-based accounting, encompassing AR, journal entries, month-end closing, and bank reconciliations.

• Proven track record in an accounting role.

• Reliable with consistent attendance.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Comfortable engaging with all levels of the organization.

• Capable of planning, organizing, and managing projects efficiently.

• Strong attention to detail with outstanding proofreading and editing skills.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and work independently.

• Highly self-motivated and proactive.

• Completion of a full application, screening questions, and a brief pre-employment assessment is required.

• Must possess authorization to work in the country where the position is located.

• Willingness to undergo a Level II background and/or security investigation involving fingerprinting.

• Agreement to submit to drug screening is necessary.
