Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Moldova, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely accounting records are maintained in Microsoft Dynamics.

• Reconcile data across various IT systems, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.

• Maintain summary tables and supporting calculations for accounting records.

• Process payroll in accordance with relevant tax and labor regulations.

• Review VAT returns prepared by the outsourced firm.

• Gather and appropriately archive supporting documentation in line with retention policies.

• Close accounts punctually and prepare or review financial statements.

• Assist in the annual audit process and prepare necessary audit deliverables.

• Engage in automation and other required projects.

• Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and other service providers.

• Report to the Head of Accounting, Audit, and Tax.

• Provide coverage for approximately nine months of maternity leave on a fixed-term basis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics (mandatory).

• Strong understanding of IFRS; ACCA (or equivalent) qualification is preferred.

• At least 3 years of experience in accounting roles.

• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, financial management, and EU taxation.

• Experience working with external auditors.

• Proficient in English.

• Strong IT skills (including Google products and Excel).
