Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Prepare and evaluate trust tax returns, corporate financial statements, and individual tax filings.

• Perform SMSF accounting tasks in alignment with Australian regulations and the client's established procedures.

• Generate and analyze financial statements along with supporting documentation.

• Assist in the preparation for SMSF audits and address inquiries as necessary.

• Employ Xero, BGL, MYOB Reporter, and Microsoft Excel for accounting and financial reporting tasks.

• Ensure precise tax accounting and reporting in accordance with Australian taxation laws.

• Meticulously review work and proactively identify inconsistencies or issues.

• Assume responsibility for assigned tasks and see them through to completion.

• Communicate progress, inquiries, delays, and potential challenges proactively.

• Collaborate effectively with both the client and internal teams to meet established deadlines and uphold quality standards.

• Interact directly with Australian clients and provide professional insights.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• At least 3 years of experience as an Australian Accountant.

• Extensive experience in trust returns, corporate financials, and Australian tax accounting.

• Practical SMSF experience; candidates should be able to articulate the SMSF work they have personally undertaken.

• Familiarity with BGL is highly preferred.

• Proficient in Xero, MYOB Reporter, and Microsoft Excel.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Confident in direct communication with Australian clients.

• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Proven ownership, accountability, and proactive communication skills.

• Ability to work independently, seek clarification when needed, and meet deadlines.

• Comfortable learning and adhering to the client’s established SMSF procedures.

• Willingness to foster a stable, long-term client relationship and develop within the role.
