Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Prepare and uphold financial records in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).

• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.

• Generate journal entries, conduct general ledger reconciliations, and create supporting schedules.

• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and management reports.

• Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies in accounts.

• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records.

• Provide support for external audits, financial reviews, and client inquiries.

• Research and apply pertinent US GAAP guidance to accounting transactions.

• Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to address accounting issues.

• Aid in process improvement, documentation, and internal control initiatives.

• Assist with special accounting projects and ad hoc financial reporting needs.

• Support businesses based in the United States through bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Accounting experience, ideally with familiarity in US GAAP.

• Strong grasp of financial reporting principles and accounting standards.

• Experience with account reconciliations and general ledger oversight.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Strong attention to detail and capacity to meet deadlines.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Preferred: CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification.

• Preferred: Experience in public accounting or with an accounting firm.

• Preferred: Familiarity with supporting U.S.-based clients.

• Preferred: Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.

• Preferred: Experience with ERP and accounting systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.

• Preferred: Experience working remotely with international teams.
