This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee medical communications projects from start to finish
• Handle the development of scientific content, manage conference participation, data visualization, engagement with healthcare provider KOLs, speaker program creation and training, advisory boards, educational events, and omnichannel strategies
• Execute the tactical implementation of integrated medical communications plans
• Formulate strategic planning and facilitate cross-functional collaboration
• Collaborate with Project Management, Medical, Strategy, Creative, and Subject Matter Experts to create project plans
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients and agency partners
• Create tactical plans and assist in broader strategic initiatives alongside Account Directors
• Identify and address client needs while aligning internal processes for effective project execution
• Lead client presentations and conduct internal project meetings
• Oversee the development of detailed campaign and project plans and assume project ownership
• Manage status updates, financial forecasting, budgets, target goals, and client objectives
• Oversee peer-to-peer education initiatives across digital, social, and in-person channels throughout the lifecycle of the project
• Manage program logistics, including venue selection, contract negotiations, travel arrangements, catering, room setups, audiovisual services, rooming lists, transportation, and vendor coordination
• Customize and distribute program materials to attendees
• Coordinate the reconciliation of final invoices with the EIT Meeting Services Team
• Adhere to agency procedures, processes, and workflows
• Maintain or surpass minimum billable utilization percentages
• Mentor and develop junior team members
• Approximately 5 to 8 years of relevant industry experience
• Experience in client services, advertising/marketing agencies, and pharmaceutical marketing is required
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent education alongside professional experience is required
• Strong and practical experience in marketing and advertising, with specialization in digital strategy, media, and technology
• Preferred experience in meeting planning/services, live and virtual event management, and congresses
• Capability to approve copy, scope, and deliverables adhering to high quality-control standards
• Ability to juggle multiple high-priority projects with competing deadlines
• Deep understanding of agency offerings and expertise
• Strong client relationship skills and a proven record of customer satisfaction
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects to successful conclusion
• Proficient negotiation skills
• Prior experience in medical communications, including speaker bureau content
• Familiarity with web development technologies and processes
• Proven capacity to supervise and develop Account Administrator and Account Manager team members
• Strategic thinking and strong business acumen
• Sound analytical capabilities
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Strong presentation skills and effective verbal and written communication
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and professionalism
• Periodic travel is required; ability to manage and travel to meetings in the US, on-site with clients, or attend national and regional congresses
