This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Serve as the Principal’s representative on client accounts and within the team.
• Report directly to a Principal and engage in daily collaboration with Directors, the Communication Manager, and Strategists.
• Function as a strategic thought partner alongside the Principal for 3–5 client accounts.
• Create strategies and Momentum Models.
• Manage a portfolio consisting of 3–5 client accounts while nurturing long-term client relationships.
• Ensure that billing remains within the approved budgets of clients.
• Delegate tasks to team members and allocate assigned hours appropriately.
• Keep cumulative staff hours within 5% of each client’s budget.
• Foster collaboration and identify innovative solutions to complete projects.
• Focus on public relations, digital community building, and strategic communications tasks.
• Assign team members to tasks while anticipating project capacity requirements.
• Proactively address and respond to client concerns.
• Assist in developing solutions for processes, trends, company-wide systems, and collective client/team needs.
• Organize, lead, and document meetings with the creative team and clients.
• Monitor project progress against established goals, objectives, and timelines.
• Develop and manage intricate project timelines, workloads, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with strategists to produce high-quality client work that advances social justice issues.
• Review incoming requests and briefs, gathering additional information as necessary.
• Supervise communications deliverables, including client strategies, campaign briefs, messaging frameworks, audience personas, creative assets, and written content.
• Cultivate and secure new business through proposals and outreach initiatives.
• Must reside in either the San Diego or Atlanta metropolitan areas; relocation is not an option.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in a communications or marketing agency (non-negotiable).
• At least 4 years of demonstrated supervisory experience managing 4–6 mid-level professionals.
• Outstanding decision-making, organizational skills, attention to detail, urgency, and follow-through.
• Excellent communication and public speaking abilities.
• Familiarity with Asana, Slack, and Google Workspace is preferred.
• A proven commitment to equity, cultural humility, and continuous learning.
• High emotional intelligence and capability in long-term relationship building.
• Experience in an agency environment.
• Background in a fully remote working setting.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback and challenge ideas effectively.
