This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Optimize the potential of AbbVie’s anti-infective product lineup within a designated region.

• Build and sustain strategic partnerships with hospitals, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), academic institutions, outpatient facilities, long-term care establishments, governmental accounts, and specialty private practices.

• Enhance patient accessibility, cultivate new business opportunities, expand existing operations, optimize resource utilization, and meet sales targets for the designated region.

• Progress hospital and specialty clients through the sales continuum and secure prescriber commitments.

• Conduct on-label presentations and sales discussions emphasizing product advantages and associated risks.

• Distinguish the value proposition of the Anti-Infective portfolio among various stakeholders in accounts.

• Address challenges related to product and patient flow through specialty pharmacies, specialty distribution, and Buy and Bill channels.

• Coordinate stakeholders across various departments to create patient-centered solutions.

• Function within a complex, matrixed, account-based sales environment.

• Collaborate with AbbVie field teams, Medical Science Liaisons, the National Director of Accounts, Key Account Directors, and internal teams.

• Develop, implement, and oversee strategic business plans for the geographical area.

• Identify account departments, channels, healthcare-provider focus, and frequency of contacts.

• Align resources to facilitate tactical execution and make necessary adjustments to plans.

• Collect, analyze, and utilize account data to maintain account profiles and relationship maps.

• Focus on key stakeholders and decision-makers to broaden physician engagement and expand the customer base.

• Participate in local boards, societies, conventions, and meetings with healthcare providers.

• Represent AbbVie and the assigned products at industry events and foster relationships.

• Relay essential information, updates, and insights to internal stakeholders.

• Fulfill mandatory AbbVie training requirements and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal guidelines.

• Meet the credentialing standards for healthcare-industry representatives for facility access.

• Collaborate with departments and organizations within the healthcare institution to devise compliant communication strategies and account processes.

• Travel approximately 20% of the time.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience.

• A minimum of five (5) years of pertinent and equivalent industry experience is required if a bachelor’s degree is not held, including three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector is preferred.

• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

• Experience in account-based selling with hospitals, wound care centers, or infusion centers.

• Proven experience in fostering advocacy within hospitals for acute products.

• Familiarity with navigating matrix environments and complex customers such as IDNs, academic institutions, hospitals, and outpatient facilities.

• Understanding of formulary approval processes and the ability to drive formulary approvals.

• Preference for experience with Buy and Bill and specialty pharmacy products.

• A documented history of strong sales performance.

• Advanced sales capabilities and the ability to communicate novel or intricate products and processes effectively.

• Strong business acumen, analytical skills, organizational abilities, presentation, facilitation, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Capacity to analyze diverse data sets utilizing multiple tools and formulate account/program strategies.

• Ability to quickly learn procedural, technical, and clinical information.

• Proficiency in understanding, articulating, and presenting complex scientific information to various audiences.

• Capability to prioritize and manage multiple accounts effectively.

• Willingness to cover the assigned geographical area.

• Ability to operate a personal vehicle or company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.

• A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet safe driving standards.

• Must fulfill applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain them, which may include background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunizations/vaccinations, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses.
