This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

šŸ“‹ Description

• Act as Alcon's representative in surgical accounts and implement sales strategies.

• Foster sales growth through customer relationships, IOL and cataract consumables pull-through, equipment lead generation, support for stock management, and follow-up on invoicing/contract matters.

• Take ownership of sales and market share for the complete Alcon IOL portfolio within the territory.

• Oversee and support the availability and usage of consumables.

• Initiate leads for equipment with assistance from product specialists.

• Create and execute account plans focused on cataract-dominant markets.

• Analyze customer environments and translate insights into commercial strategies.

• Provide comprehensive support for cataract customers and coordinate specialist activities and planning.

• Map decision-making processes and stakeholders to guide business strategies.

• Establish relationships with key stakeholders and represent Alcon effectively.

• Employ a consultative sales approach to align products and services with the needs of customers and patients.

• Generate demand and follow up on contract discussions.

• Prepare and negotiate customer quotes.

• Collaborate with technical and clinical experts to stimulate demand and implement solutions.

• Initiate and lead local customer-focused events.

• Monitor and report on competitor activities.

• Convert business from competitors through value-based selling.


ā›³ļø Requirements

• Experience selling technical devices in a theatre environment is highly desirable.

• Proven sales experience in the medical devices and/or pharmaceutical sectors.

• Experience in consultative selling within B2B industries, preferably in high-end MedDev.

• Prior experience in ophthalmology is preferred, but not mandatory.

• Background in a customer-facing role, interacting with both medical and non-medical personnel.

• Experience working cross-functionally and within matrix organizations.

• Ability to utilize budget impact models and demonstrate value concepts.

• Strong business acumen and selling skills.

• Exceptional technical and interpersonal communication, along with negotiation abilities.

• Strong problem-solving capabilities.

• General understanding of surgical techniques, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and optics.

• Business awareness, including Value-Based Selling methodologies.

• Proficient negotiation skills.

• Familiarity with cataract consumables, equipment, diagnostics, and visualization is beneficial but not essential.
