This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee a portfolio of clients and foster relationships as a strategic advisor for current accounts and producers.
• Renew existing accounts and introduce new products and services to current clients when suitable.
• Act as the organization's representative at client meetings, conventions, and sales events.
• Execute renewals and additional sales of assigned policies while adhering to established premium rate guidelines.
• Cultivate relationships with clients and brokers or producers.
• Assist in supporting key local and national programs while providing competitive insights.
• Create strategic plans and metrics focused on retention, profitability, cross-selling, and client strategic planning.
• Conduct fact-finding, compile files, gather data, and manage information to enhance the experience for policyholders and producers.
• Collaborate with business and Highmark partners to cross-sell products and services.
• Work alongside claims, underwriting, administration, and sales teams to develop and deliver policyholder solutions.
• Utilize business tools, including comprehensive access to E-Services.
• Develop, implement, and monitor strategies for customer service and satisfaction.
• Evaluate administrative processes related to business renewals and suggest enhancements.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• A state-specific Producer’s license (Accident & Health) or the ability to obtain it within 45 days of hire (Stop Loss).
• Preferred experience in sales or account management within the insurance sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of the health insurance market.
• Effective communication skills with existing customers and potential new clients.
• Proficient in consultative selling and promoting stop loss products.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
• Problem-solving abilities related to contracts, billing, claims, and contractual matters.
• Outstanding proficiency in Excel, mathematics, and written communication.
• Willingness to travel as required.
