Account Manager, SaaS, Higher Ed

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Manage a portfolio of university and college partners throughout the United States

• Gain a deep understanding of partner objectives, priorities, challenges, usage, and future aspirations

• Establish strong, multi-faceted relationships with both everyday users and senior sponsors

• Create success plans and account strategies linked to significant outcomes

• Evaluate partner health, risks, and opportunities

• Oversee renewals from initial planning stages through to agreement execution

• Illustrate partner value and pinpoint opportunities for expansion

• Drive expansion initiatives through discovery, negotiation, and closure

• Maintain renewal and expansion targets while keeping a precise pipeline

• Conduct account reviews that connect partner achievements to future possibilities

• Ensure Salesforce records are kept accurate and up-to-date

• Travel to visit university and college partners across the US

• Represent Gecko at higher education conferences, exhibitions, and partner events

• Act as the strategic owner of partner relationships, coordinating with Support, Product, and other teams

• Present demos, account reviews, presentations, and commercial discussions

• Collaborate with Commercial, Product, Support, and Enablement teams

• Ensure that commitments are fulfilled and that no issues are overlooked


⛳️ Requirements

• Applicant must be based in the US

• Must possess valid authorization to work in the US

• Located in the Eastern or Central time zones

• Experience managing a portfolio of accounts within a B2B SaaS environment

• Direct accountability for retention, renewals, and expansion

• Proven experience managing complex or strategic accounts with multiple stakeholders and extended decision-making processes

• Demonstrated commercial results that were personally influenced via renewals, expansions, upsells, or growth within existing accounts

• Comfortable engaging in discussions about pricing, value, revenue, and next steps

• Skilled at identifying and advancing opportunities effectively

• Capable of leading meetings, demos, executive reviews, and negotiations

• Organized, proactive, and comfortable managing a portfolio, pipeline, and regular travel

• Experience in Higher Education or EdTech is advantageous but not mandatory
