Account Manager – Local Marketplace

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee incoming submissions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to Axios standards.

• Evaluate, modify, and publish listings on Marketplace boards as well as in the Charlotte newsletter.

• Guarantee prompt communication with clients, providing updates and post-campaign performance reports.

• Advocate for the semi-service model to enhance awareness, adoption, and engagement.

• Work alongside Product, Sales, and Editorial teams to refine processes and improve client and reader experiences.

• Keep internal tracking documents updated for listings, promotions, and communications.

• Monitor and assess performance trends, offering data-driven insights for optimizations and product enhancements.

• Assist in scaling Axios Local Marketplace as it ventures into new markets.

• Proven experience in community management or social programs.

• Background in business development or account management.

• Experience in digital marketing, social execution, and copywriting.

• Passion for creating new initiatives and establishing processes.

• Strong customer-centric approach.

• Ability to make decisions based on data analysis.

• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• At least 1-2 years of experience in client success, account management, or marketing (preferably in media or digital advertising).

• Expected to actively cultivate AI literacy and leverage AI tools to boost productivity, creativity, and efficiency.
