This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Market and sell the comprehensive range of consumables and instrumentation within the sample management, biobanking, and broader life sciences sectors.
• Formulate and implement business growth strategies that align with SMS strategic objectives and best practices in sales funnel management.
• Seek out new market penetration opportunities, either independently or in collaboration with channel partners.
• Meet annual sales objectives within the designated territory by developing, maintaining, and enriching client accounts.
• Achieve both annual and quarterly sales targets.
• Provide monthly reports on pipeline and sales activities using Salesforce CRM.
• Illustrate the advantages of Azenta’s consumables and instrumentation offerings.
• Keep track of industry trends and competitor movements while identifying new business prospects.
• Follow up on e-commerce and inbound leads, transforming them into sales opportunities.
• Act as a brand ambassador for Azenta at account events.
• Assist regional distributor partners during customer meetings, events, and training sessions.
• Participate in and facilitate exhibitions, enhancing face-to-face customer interactions through strategic territory planning.
• Collect customer insights and feedback for product improvements and new product development initiatives.
• Maintain precise CRM records in SFDC.
• Uphold high standards of product knowledge and effective customer communication.
• Provide product samples and quotes to customers promptly.
• A degree or equivalent experience in a life sciences field, such as molecular biology, microbiology, biological sciences, biochemistry, medical science, or a related area.
• At least 2 years of proven field sales experience within the UK life sciences sector.
• Ideally, familiarity with laboratory consumables, instrumentation, and/or sample management solutions.
• Capability to demonstrate technical products and clearly articulate sample management workflows, customer value, and application benefits.
• Commercially oriented and results-driven, with skills in territory planning, pipeline management, account development, and customer relationship management.
• Good understanding of the UK laboratory and life sciences market, including customer requirements, market trends, and competitor activities.
• Self-motivated, organized, and confident in working independently across a defined territory while also contributing effectively as part of a broader sales team.
• A valid UK driving license.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Oxford, Wales, and the South West of the UK.
• Engaging knowledge sharing and close collaboration within a global network of customers, colleagues, and partners.
