This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.
β’ Expand Agilent's market presence in chromatography, mass spectrometry, and associated consumables and services throughout the territory.
β’ Actively seek out new customers and opportunities, generating demand and collaboratively driving deals with designated Account Managers.
β’ Establish and nurture long-term relationships with researchers, faculty members, lab managers, and procurement teams.
β’ Create and implement a strategic territory plan for both academic and commercial accounts.
β’ Meet all sales objectives and territory goals.
β’ Collaborate with Product Specialists, Consumables and Supplies, Service teams, and One Agilent colleagues within the territory.
β’ Provide accurate forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual basis.
β’ Maintain disciplined updates in Salesforce CRM, manage expense reporting, and execute business reporting.
β’ Assist with customer calls, Teams meetings, and onsite visits while developing the ability to manage an independent book of business.
β’ Address markets in chemical and energy, materials science, pharmaceuticals and biopharmaceuticals, life science research, clinical, environmental, forensics, and food sectors.
β’ Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or another physical or life science discipline from an accredited university.
β’ Over 1 year of pertinent experience in scientific/laboratory settings with analytical instrumentation (GC, LC, MS), or in field sales and customer-facing roles.
β’ Proficient understanding of chromatography, mass spectrometry, or related analytical processes.
β’ Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and consultative selling abilities.
β’ Capacity to develop relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
β’ Strong self-management, organizational, territory planning, and time management capabilities.
β’ Ability to perform effectively in a team-selling atmosphere and independently in a results-driven environment.
β’ Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
β’ Preferred: Over 1 year of sales experience in analytical instrumentation, laboratory technology, life sciences, or a similar scientific market.
β’ Preferred: Experience selling to academic, university, government, or research laboratory settings.
β’ Preferred: Experience managing complex sales cycles that involve multiple stakeholders, funding sources, and procurement processes.
β’ Preferred: Proven history of consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals and expanding market share.
