This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Provide expert advice and promote premium microscopy and imaging solutions within the Life Science / Healthcare sectors.
• Oversee and strategically enhance an existing customer portfolio in research, education, and industry.
• Identify new scientific clientele and cultivate enduring partnerships.
• Accountable for sales performance, project pipeline management, and product-related margins in the designated sales territory.
• Organize, execute, and document customer meetings, product demonstrations, and scientific discussions.
• Offer technical assistance for application inquiries in close collaboration with applications and service specialists.
• Support basic microscopes in clinical and academic settings throughout the entire sales cycle.
• Create technical quotations and manage tenders for scientific institutions.
• Maintain and develop sales projects within the CRM system.
• Analyze the market and competitors to formulate actionable recommendations.
• Represent the company at trade fairs, congresses, and scientific events.
• A university degree in a natural science field (e.g., Biology, Biophysics, Life Sciences, or equivalent).
• Strong practical/user knowledge in microscopy (stereomicroscopy, basic inverted and upright microscopy, etc.).
• Initial sales experience or a keen interest in a science-oriented sales or consulting position.
• Experience engaging with university structures, research institutes, or publicly funded organizations.
• Familiarity with procurement and tendering processes in academic research is advantageous.
• Outstanding presentation and communication abilities at a technical level.
• Organized, independent work style with strong self-management skills.
• Proficient in German and conversant in English, both written and spoken.
• Competent in using MS Office and ideally, CRM systems.
• Possession of a class B driving license and readiness to travel within the Northern region.
• Ideally, residing in the Hamburg area or nearby.
• Ability to convey scientific information clearly and translate it into practical applications.
• Enjoy engaging in consultative customer discussions within an academic context.
• Strong persuasive and negotiation skills, able to communicate professionally with scientists.
• Resilience and composure when navigating complex decision-making processes.
