Account Manager, Interventional Technologies

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Implement the strategic and operational plans as directed by Commercial leadership.

• Represent the company's products to both new and existing customers.

• Meet sales targets and quotas for a designated territory.

• Drive daily sales goals aimed at territory expansion, which includes identifying new accounts, nurturing relationships, and planning product launches.

• Create and execute territory business plans and sales strategies that are quota-based on a quarterly basis.

• Oversee training and educational initiatives during account launches.

• Present and execute Performance Guarantees while conducting Quarterly Business Reviews.

• Regularly communicate account insights and required information to leadership.

• Establish connections and develop physician champions within targeted accounts.

• Present to physician leaders, service-line directors, supply-chain executives, and C-Suite personnel.

• Cultivate regional and national Key Opinion Leader (KOL) advocates.

• Assist in corporate-account contract negotiations and facilitate new product approvals.

• Offer guidance on device suitability and provide comprehensive technical support.

• Coordinate with clinical specialists and align the team with the business plan.

• Deliver clinical and economic presentations to customers, committees, and relevant staff members.

• Build and sustain customer relationships, including fostering KOL engagement.

• Develop relationships with hospital administration and execute corporate contracts where applicable.

• Share product knowledge, train new employees, cover territories, exchange best practices, provide marketing insights, and communicate competitive intelligence.

• Manage territory-related expenses, product returns, and inventory.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, the Quality System, and regulatory standards.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Arts or Science degree is required.

• At least 5 years of directly related experience is required.

• Preference for candidates with Medical Device Sales experience in Interventional Cardiology and/or Structural Heart.

• Comprehensive understanding of the medical device market, products, and customer needs.

• Strong work ethic and a sense of urgency in achieving objectives.

• Business acumen with experience in targeting and prioritizing key customer accounts.

• Ability to establish personal credibility in the designated territory and effectively communicate with clinical staff, administrators, and physicians while overcoming challenges.

• Emotional intelligence to manage schedules and clinical resources efficiently.

• Previous experience in medical device sales, ideally targeting Interventional Cardiologists, Electrophysiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, and administrators.

• Strategic thinking and tactical planning skills.

• Adaptability, creativity, and resourcefulness.

• Proficiency in providing technical support related to imaging modalities, EKG, blood pressure, hemodynamic waveforms, and ancillary procedural solutions.

• Willingness to travel domestically 25–50% of the time.

• Capability to meet the physical demands of the job, including frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, keyboarding, fine manipulation, and exposure to blood.
