This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Act as the main liaison for a portfolio of significant commercial and industrial clients.
• Establish reliable, long-term relationships with clients by comprehending their business, energy requirements, objectives, and challenges.
• Independently formulate and present strategies for energy procurement and management, involving internal subject matter experts as necessary.
• Guide clients on procurement of electricity and natural gas, including market conditions, pricing structures, contract options, risks, budgeting, and other energy-related decisions.
• Deliver market updates and strategic advice for clients operating in various deregulated energy markets.
• Collaborate with internal teams to assess client needs, analyze market opportunities, prepare recommendations, and execute approved strategies.
• Oversee multiple client priorities, contract deadlines, deliverables, and follow-up actions.
• Identify and address client issues by engaging appropriate internal resources and maintaining clear communication until resolution.
• Introduce clients to supplementary services and solutions that may assist in achieving their energy, sustainability, financial, or operational objectives.
• Spot opportunities to enhance existing client relationships and aid in client retention.
• Ensure clients consistently experience a responsive, thoughtful, and high-quality service.
• Minimum of three years of experience in the commercial energy sector, encompassing retail electricity, natural gas procurement, energy consulting, sustainability, demand response, solar, or a related field.
• Practical experience assisting commercial or industrial clients in one or more deregulated energy markets is essential.
• Experience with PJM and/or ERCOT is highly preferred.
• Prior experience in an energy-focused role such as Account Manager, Customer Success Manager, Client Services, Energy Consultant, or a similar client-facing position.
• Familiarity with deregulated energy markets, procurement strategies, energy contracts, market pricing, and client decision-making processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, projects, and deadlines efficiently.
• Strong presentation skills with the capability to communicate complex energy concepts clearly.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain composed and responsive when client challenges arise.
• Experience working collaboratively with teams across pricing, analytics, operations, sustainability, legal, or other internal departments.
• Ability to identify growth opportunities for accounts while prioritizing the client’s needs and objectives.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• High levels of ownership, curiosity, integrity, teamwork, and commitment to follow-through.
• Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree is an advantage.
• B2B sales or business development experience is beneficial.
