This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +7 more states.
• Propel sales growth within the Clinical Trials Division by implementing strategies that generate revenue from both new and existing accounts in the designated territory.
• Foster an internal network by working collaboratively with subject-matter experts from the Clinical Trials Division, site leadership, and client services support.
• Discover new target clients and target molecules while following up on leads sourced from prospection, inside sales, business development associates, and referrals.
• Increase market share for clinical packaging, labels, distribution, storage, comparator sourcing, and clinical demand planning services.
• Cultivate relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and C-suite clients.
• Forge strategic partnerships with biotech customers and influence the future direction of the organization.
• Establish connections with cross-divisional sales teams and various business units within Thermo Fisher Scientific.
• Identify new molecule opportunities through market analysis, strategic selling, personal networks, team interactions, and lead follow-ups.
• Create a comprehensive territory plan to maximize regional performance.
• Design and execute sales programs tailored for prospective clients.
• Analyze funding mechanisms, sources, and funding flows for emerging biotech enterprises.
• Participate in tradeshows, conferences, and seminars to enhance awareness and generate leads.
• Articulate the value proposition and explore strategic service-bundling opportunities.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with current clients.
• Facilitate successful quotations and engage in contract negotiations.
• Record and track relevant activities within the SFDC database and share prospective client information with partners.
• Operate from a home office in a field-based position with regular domestic travel up to 25%.
• Previous experience in the Clinical Supplies Industry is highly preferred.
• A solid understanding of the clinical drug development process is expected.
• Sales experience in CDMO or CRO settings is advantageous.
• A professional background in sales or business development within the Americas is essential.
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to network effectively within senior management levels.
• Familiarity with working in a matrix environment, both with clients and internally.
• Dynamic, self-motivated individual with exceptional interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Salesforce is preferred.
• Capability to create a functional home office setup.
• Competence in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of working time within the territory, including regular overnight stays.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A Bachelor’s Degree is necessary.
• 5–8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Preferred fields of study include life sciences, business, or a related discipline.
• A Master’s degree is preferred.
