Account Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary contact for physician offices and advocate for specialty infusions for patients receiving care at home.

• Ensure a seamless transition of patient care from hospital settings to home environments for Home IV therapy and Enteral Nutrition.

• Develop and nurture relationships with hospitals, clinics, physician offices, home health organizations, and community collaborators.

• Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective home services that foster positive patient outcomes.

• Oversee referrals from the initial intake process through service coordination, which includes insurance verification, scheduling home health services, and communicating financial obligations.

• Collaborate with operational teams to guarantee efficient referral processing, readiness for services, and smooth transitions for patients.

• Provide essential education to patients and their families regarding therapy procedures and subsequent steps.

• Address and resolve concerns raised by patients, families, and referral sources.

• Promote territory growth by engaging with referral sources and conveying the value of CarepathRx services.

• Ensure accurate documentation and maintain the confidentiality of patient information.

• Participate in mandatory training, departmental meetings, and continuing education activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in healthcare, account management, referral coordination, insurance, patient services, or a similar customer-facing role.

• Strong skills in project management, organization, analytics, and problem-solving.

• Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, and customer service communication abilities.

• Capability to balance multiple priorities and work autonomously in a fast-paced setting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

• Ability to effectively collaborate with hospital personnel, physicians, home health agencies, community resources, patients, and their families.

• Proven track record of identifying customer needs and creating practical, timely solutions.

• A home internet connection obtained through cable broadband or fiber optic service with a minimum of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speed if working remotely.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.

• Experience in managed care, insurance, home infusion, specialty pharmacy, or home-based patient services is preferred.

• Experience in public speaking, provider education, or presentations to referral sources is preferred.

• Experience facilitating patient transitions from acute-care environments to home-based therapies is preferred.
