This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.
• Act as the primary strategic liaison and trusted advisor for a portfolio of established OEM clients.
• Foster long-term client relationships while ensuring customer needs and satisfaction are prioritized.
• Create and implement strategic account plans to meet and surpass sales targets, increase market share, and enhance customer lifetime value.
• Conduct regular business evaluations to measure performance, identify needs and opportunities, and align CVG capabilities with client roadmaps.
• Recognize, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities within current accounts and through targeted OEM outreach.
• Oversee the complete sales process from opportunity identification to RFQ analysis, proposal formulation, contract negotiations, and closure.
• Employ industry networking, cold outreach, and market analysis to cultivate a pipeline that supports growth.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Logistics, and Quality teams to initiate, deliver, and support projects.
• Serve as the internal advocate for clients.
• Provide post-sales assistance by resolving issues, addressing inquiries, and ensuring seamless project execution.
• Aid internal teams in promptly and effectively resolving customer-related challenges.
• Prepare regular sales forecasts and activity reports for management review.
• Keep track of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to guide strategy.
• Travel as necessary, up to 20%, to client sites, production facilities, and industry events.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or marketing, or equivalent experience.
• 3-5+ years of account management or inside sales experience, ideally in plastics or with a proven history of developing new clientele in B2B OEM sectors.
• Proven capability to cultivate strong relationships.
• Creative problem-solving and persuasion skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Business analytical skills and strategic thought process.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business systems.
• Strong understanding of account management, the RFQ process, and financial impact assessment.
• Preferably knowledgeable about custom injection molding solutions in plastics, including tooling.
• Willingness to travel 20% of the time.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team and solve practical problems.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively with customers and internal departments while thinking strategically.
• Proficient in effective communication across the hierarchies and functions of major OEM companies.
• Proven success in acquiring new business and cultivating relationships.
• High proficiency in data analysis tools, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to comprehend and convey technical information clearly.
• Skilled negotiator with a solid understanding of the industrial or contract manufacturing sector.
