This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Deliver sales expertise and oversee account management for the designated territory, facilitating commercial activities for the multiomics and synthetic biology portfolio.
• Foster effective customer relationships and identify growth opportunities within the territory.
• Establish and implement sales strategies to meet bookings, revenue, and business objectives.
• Take ownership of the territory development plan and coordinate resources across various sectors to enhance team selling.
• Navigate processes involved in drug discovery, drug development, gene-to-antibody, and proteomics.
• Utilize consultative selling techniques to create products and services that cater to customer requirements.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline to surpass quarterly and annual sales goals and quotas.
• Acquire new clients and increase market penetration within existing accounts.
• Provide forecasts, weekly reports, marketing insights, and other relevant information to managers and stakeholders.
• Finalize sales agreements and cultivate long-term client relationships to promote growth and retention.
• Keep customer data, sales opportunities, tasks, and collaborative efforts updated in the CRM system.
• Work in partnership with Marketing, Product Development, Customer Service, Regional Sales Specialists, Technical Support, and Product Management.
• Align strategies, implement sales initiatives, create marketing plans, organize local vendor exhibitions, execute campaigns, and respond to customer needs.
• Minimum educational requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in a Life Sciences discipline.
• Over 3 years of relevant experience in Genomics or Synthetic Biology in a commercial setting, with a proven history of success in account management, surpassing targets, and driving revenue growth.
• Strong comprehension of challenges within the Genomics industry and the ability to develop application knowledge focused on Biotech, Government Agencies, and Academia.
• Familiarity with standard Sequencing, Synthetic Biology, cell and gene therapies, and molecular biology laboratory techniques.
• Experience in a collaborative team environment.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful strategies using a consultative approach during customer interactions.
• Strong negotiation capabilities in both written and verbal communication, along with effective presentation skills.
• Demonstrated collaboration with key stakeholders across both internal and external organizations.
• Proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar platforms.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and computer technologies.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory; travel may comprise up to 50% of the time.
