
Account Management Director, Advanced Therapies β Cell and Gene Therapy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Achieve net revenue retention and growth objectives within a designated portfolio.
β’ Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling throughout the cell and gene therapy value chain.
β’ Develop multi-year account strategies and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with stakeholders in R&D, CMC, MSAT, QA/RA, Procurement, and Legal.
β’ Establish executive sponsorship and governance structures.
β’ Present capabilities that encompass process and analytical development, technology transfer, scale-up, GMP manufacturing, QC/release testing, comparability, and PPQ.
β’ Negotiate and shape Master Service Agreements (MSA), Statements of Work (SOW), Quality of Agreement (QoA), pricing structures, and change control processes.
β’ Align project scope, risk factors, and timelines with capacity and quality standards.
β’ Maintain precise forecasts, ensure pipeline integrity, and oversee stage conversions.
β’ Provide data-driven updates on systems, leadership, risks, and mitigation strategies.
β’ Lead representation at key conferences and trade shows.
β’ Transform conference visibility into qualified expansion opportunities.
β’ Collaborate with Program Management and sites to guarantee proactive communication, timely milestones, and high sponsor satisfaction.
β’ Anticipate capacity requirements through Demand Planning.
β’ Gather structured customer feedback to inform solution roadmaps, differentiation, and win rates.
β’ Expand strategic accounts within advanced therapies and drive measurable revenue growth.
β’ Over 5 years of senior-level experience in biopharma/CDMO in account management, business development, or program management.
β’ Proven history of developing complex, multi-site accounts.
β’ Demonstrated success in managing long-cycle, multi-stakeholder expansions from evaluation and SOW development to final signatures.
β’ Strong accuracy in forecasting.
β’ Established connections within the CGT leadership and influencer community.
β’ Credibility with scientific and executive stakeholders.
β’ Advanced skills in negotiation, presentation, and business writing.
β’ Familiarity with AAV and lentiviral vectors; iPSC/PSC-derived cells; immune cell therapies such as NK/T; plasmid and mRNA; upstream/downstream process development/analytical development and scale-up.
β’ Fluency in CMC/GMP, including phase-appropriate development from pre-IND to BLA, Quality by Design (QbD) principles, technology transfer, comparability, PPQ, QC methods, release/stability processes, change control, and deviations.
β’ Knowledge of chain of identity and chain of custody integrity, cryopreservation, cold-chain logistics, audit readiness, and regulatory requirements.
β’ Ability to influence multi-stakeholder decisions across science, quality, regulatory, legal, and procurement sectors.

β’ Executive presence and commercial acumen.
