This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Present and promote Merit medical products to both new and existing clients.
• Follow up with customers to ensure that delivered products fulfill their requirements.
• Conduct in-service presentations for clinicians to demonstrate new products and their applications.
• Foster strong client relationships while identifying customer needs and opportunities for satisfaction.
• Identify prospective customers and introduce them to Merit products.
• Create tailored drawings for clients requiring custom kits or manifolds.
• Prepare and submit pricing contracts to clients.
• Follow up to uncover opportunities for increasing sales volume and profitability.
• Address manufacturing or delivery issues with clients.
• Collaborate with Merit marketing and sales teams to guarantee timely delivery of the correct products and quantities.
• Stay updated on new Merit products and provide customer feedback on product innovation.
• Make pricing decisions within authorized limits.
• Compile monthly reports summarizing sales results, client interactions, product-change requirements, and suggestions for procedural improvements.
• Engage in sales training and planning meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of Merit and competitor products, including their strengths and weaknesses.
• Set and meet personal sales performance objectives.
• Collaborate with the Merit sales team to enhance market share, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Travel extensively to fulfill sales responsibilities.
• Carry out other sales-related tasks as needed.
• Education and/or experience equivalent to a relevant Bachelor’s Degree.
• At least three years of direct sales experience, preferably in the medical products sector.
• Ability to effectively communicate and understand the needs of others within a sales context.
• A high degree of personal motivation and commitment to achieving personal and professional objectives.
• Exceptional oral presentation skills and the capability to think on your feet to analyze problems and present solutions to groups of medical technicians and clinicians.
• Ability to understand the use of medical equipment and identify potential improvements in its application.
• Capacity to work effectively as part of a team to achieve organizational goals.
• Proficiency in business mathematics to calculate percentages and prepare financial and sales reports.
• Strong personal organization skills, including the ability to document work performed and report information accurately.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work long hours as necessary to meet objectives.
• Excellent driving record with no accidents in the past three years or no more than one driving ticket during the same period.
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills, particularly in spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and other relevant software applications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Capability to travel by car, airplane, bus, etc., to perform sales duties with clients.
