
Account Executive – Splunk SLED, Mid Market

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Expand and develop territories for Splunk Public Sector within Commercial SLED accounts
• Engage in prospecting and lead-generation efforts
• Promote and sell Splunk software
• Follow up on incoming leads and update their status in the company's CRM system
• Execute outbound prospecting and lead generation
• Qualify both inbound and outbound leads
• Arrange product demonstrations for qualified clients
• Build and nurture client relationships through personalized interactions
• Understand client requirements and articulate the value of products and services
• Provide accurate forecasts of opportunities based on realistic evaluations
• Achieve or surpass assigned revenue targets
• Collaborate with a field representative
• Support participation in Splunk Lives, the National Users Conference, and regional trade shows
• 4+ years of experience in selling enterprise IT solutions, including BI, data analytics, security software, risk management software, or networking performance
• 1+ years of experience in selling IT solutions to SLED and/or Federal accounts
• Experience in consultative sales
• Proven ability to identify and uncover new opportunities, including cold calling and business hunting
• Experience overseeing and managing the complete sales process from start to finish
• Demonstrated history of exceeding sales goals and quotas
• Record of developing new business and managing the sales cycle from lead generation to closing
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Strong logical and analytical thinking skills
• Proven negotiation skills
• High technical aptitude
• Proficient computer skills; experience with CRM systems, Word, and Excel; knowledge of Salesforce.com is a plus
• Exceptional organizational and prioritization capabilities
• Keen attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as a team member
• Strong conflict resolution skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Science, or equivalent experience
• Currently authorized to work full-time in the United States
