
Account Executive – Splunk SLED – Mid Market

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Expand and develop territories for Splunk Public Sector in Commercial SLED accounts
• Prospect and engage in lead-generation efforts to sell Splunk software
• Follow up on incoming leads and update their status within the company's CRM system
• Execute outbound prospecting and lead generation initiatives
• Qualify both inbound and outbound leads
• Arrange product demonstrations for qualified clients
• Manage accounts and cultivate client relationships through personalized communication
• Comprehend client needs and convey the value of products and services
• Accurately forecast opportunities based on realistic evaluations
• Achieve or surpass designated revenue targets
• Collaborate with a field representative
• Assist in participation at Splunk Lives, the National Users Conference, and regional trade events
• Over 4 years of experience in selling enterprise IT solutions, including BI, data analytics, security software, risk management software, or networking performance
• At least 1 year of experience in selling IT solutions to SLED and/or Federal accounts is preferred
• Experience in consultative sales
• Proven ability to identify and uncover new opportunities, cold calling, and pursuing business
• Experience overseeing and managing the complete sales process from beginning to end
• Documented history of surpassing goals and quotas
• Proven track record in developing new business and managing the sales cycle from lead generation to closing
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Logical and analytical mindset
• Demonstrated negotiation capabilities
• Strong technical proficiency
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in CRM systems, Word, and Excel; experience with Salesforce.com is a plus
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks by deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
• Excellent conflict resolution skills
• Highly motivated and professional with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Science, or equivalent experience
