
Account Executive – Point of Care Diagnostics, Outpatient

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Promote Abbott Point of Care solutions to outpatient clients throughout Indiana and Illinois.
• Operate autonomously within an assigned region to enhance market share and foster sustainable growth.
• Collaborate with internal support team members to pinpoint opportunities and advance sales processes.
• Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with Abbott, APOC, and distributor partners.
• Meet sales objectives through effective management of sales cycles and territory.
• Identify and cultivate key opinion leaders who can support Point of Care solutions.
• Sustain the existing sales base while acquiring new business in both new and current accounts.
• Navigate intricate sales environments with numerous stakeholders and evolving decision-making factors.
• Formulate and implement sales strategies, including plans for risk mitigation.
• Complete administrative responsibilities such as training modules, expense reports, and sales forecasts in a timely and accurate manner.
• Travel within the designated territory, which may include some regional overnight trips.
• Adhere to relevant EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Conduct territory analysis to determine Total Available Market and devise targeting strategies.
• Implement and uphold the effectiveness of the Quality System.
• Bachelor's degree.
• 4+ years of pertinent sales experience or 1+ years of sales experience with a Clinical background (BSN, MLT, CLS, RT, Cardiac Tech, etc.).
• Must reside within the territory.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory and other necessary business locations.
• Preferred: a documented record of consistently exceeding sales targets.
• Preferred: experience in diagnostics, point of care (POC), laboratory, or capital equipment sales.
• Preferred: direct distribution experience or sales through a distribution channel.
• Preferred: consistently ranks among the top 20% in peer sales groups.
• Preferred: established relationships within the assigned territory.
• Preferred: strong skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
• Preferred: high proficiency in using Salesforce.com or a similar CRM platform.
• Preferred: completion of multiple sales training courses and active application of effective sales methodologies.
