This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Spearhead new business development initiatives for MinIO's Federal practice as an individual contributor.
• Generate and secure new business opportunities across the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and civilian agencies through both existing and new federal channel partners and systems integrators.
• Activate and enhance relationships with federal customers, partners, and Financial Services Institutions to boost the sales pipeline.
• Oversee the entire sales cycle from initiation to closure while ensuring a healthy and accurately forecasted pipeline.
• Customize MinIO's value proposition to align with federal buyers' budget timelines, compliance needs, procurement methods, and use cases related to AI/ML, inference, agentic AI, and data infrastructure.
• Empower partners to effectively communicate MinIO's value proposition.
• Collaborate with Federal field architecture, channel, and marketing teams to refine technical, partner, and go-to-market strategies.
• Maintain transparent and precise forecasts of pipeline and sales activities.
• Established and active relationships with federal systems integrators, resellers, and agency contacts that can be immediately leveraged.
• Over 7 years of experience in federal or public sector sales, showcasing a proven record of sourcing and closing new business through partnerships and channel relationships.
• In-depth understanding of partner-led federal sales models, including deal registration, teaming agreements, and collaboration with resellers and systems integrators rather than solely direct sales to agencies.
• Experience in technology sales, preferably in cloud-native infrastructure, storage, and/or AI/data platforms.
• Knowledge of the constraints faced by federal buyers, including procurement processes, budget cycles, and compliance considerations.
• Ability to thrive in a lean, fast-paced environment without the support of a large, established sales organization.
• Proficient in identifying and challenging the status quo, showcasing clear business value, and closing competitive deals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of representing MinIO credibly to agency stakeholders, partner executives, and internal leadership.
• Active security clearance, or the capability to obtain one.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
