
Account Executive – Point of Care Diagnostics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Market and sell Abbott Point of Care solutions to outpatient clients throughout Illinois and Indiana.
• Operate independently within a designated territory to enhance market presence and promote sustainable growth.
• Collaborate with internal support team members to pinpoint opportunities and progress sales cycles.
• Establish, nurture, and expand relationships with Abbott Point of Care and distributor partners.
• Meet sales objectives through proficient management of the sales cycle and territory.
• Identify and cultivate key opinion leaders who can advocate for point-of-care solutions.
• Sustain the sales base while acquiring new business in both existing and new accounts.
• Navigate complex sales environments involving multiple stakeholders and evolving decision-making criteria.
• Develop and implement sales strategies, including plans for risk mitigation.
• Accurately and promptly complete administrative tasks such as training modules, expense reports, and sales forecasts.
• Deliver customer-centric service through travel within the assigned territory, including regional overnight trips.
• Adhere to relevant EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Conduct territory analysis to assess the Total Available Market and formulate targeting strategies.
• Implement and uphold the effectiveness of the Quality System.
• Bachelor's degree.
• 4+ years of pertinent sales experience OR 1+ years of sales experience complemented by a clinical background (BSN, MLT, CLS, RT, Cardiac Tech, etc.).
• Must reside within the assigned territory.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within the assigned territory and other business locations as required.
• Preferred: a proven track record of sales excellence, such as being a President’s Club winner.
• Preferred: experience in diagnostics, point of care, laboratory, or capital equipment sales.
• Preferred: experience in direct distribution or selling through distribution channels.
• Preferred: consistently ranked among the top 20% in peer sales groups.
• Preferred: established connections within the assigned territory.
• Preferred: strong proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Preferred: high level of proficiency with Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms.
• Preferred: completion of multiple sales training programs and regular use of effective sales methodologies.
