This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Lead the business development efforts for Rx softgel and late-stage oral solids programs by identifying, qualifying, and securing opportunities within both current and potential accounts.
• Establish strategic partnerships with key decision-makers and influencers, identify customer needs, and align solutions with development and commercialization goals.
• Create and implement account plans, overseeing forecasting, pricing, contract negotiations, renewals, amendments, and regular business reviews to optimize portfolio growth.
• Work collaboratively with Research & Development, Contract Management, Legal, Finance, and Operations teams to prepare proposals, negotiate development and commercial supply agreements, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Showcase Catalent's capabilities and value proposition to customers, global account teams, and technical stakeholders.
• Increase revenue through cross-selling, innovative solution development, and recognizing new opportunities across Catalent's extensive service portfolio.
• Evaluate customer pipelines, Research & Development activities, sales trends, and market opportunities to facilitate territory planning, revenue enhancement, and strategic decision-making.
• Maintain cross-functional communication and utilize Customer Relationship Management tools to ensure precise account management, responsive customer support, and smooth execution of commercial activities.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific discipline, Business, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of combined business development or sales experience along with scientific or technical expertise in the pharmaceutical contract service sales (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization), pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences sectors.
• Familiarity or experience with the proposal development process, business quotes, budgeting, and adhering to established timelines.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to function effectively as part of cross-functional teams and engage effectively with scientists and technical staff from customers as well as within the Catalent organization.
• Demonstrated success with acquiring new accounts.
• Proven capability to organize and plan work, manage travel, and balance multiple priorities efficiently.
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 75% to visit and meet with Catalent's manufacturing facilities in Winchester, Kentucky and St. Petersburg, Florida, and other international locations as necessary.
• Experience with Salesforce.com is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of Rx softgel or oral solid-dose manufacturing is a plus.
• Master’s degree, Master of Business Administration, or Doctor of Philosophy is preferred.
