This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and enhance CivilGrid’s visibility across cities and municipalities in Texas.

• Achieve and surpass sales objectives.

• Lead intricate public-sector sales processes from initial prospecting to contract finalization.

• Obtain executive sponsorship from capital program directors, engineering leaders, and GIS/asset management teams.

• Conduct pilot programs with success metrics aligned to government KPIs.

• Transition pilots into long-term enterprise agreements or master contracts.

• Create targeted outbound initiatives for government buyer profiles.

• Manage RFP/RFQ submissions, cooperative purchasing frameworks, and public-sector compliance protocols.

• Develop executive presentations, ROI evaluations, and business cases.

• Sustain stakeholder engagement throughout lengthy government procurement processes.

• Represent CivilGrid at government, infrastructure, and public works events.

• Utilize and expand a network within the public sector and government infrastructure to generate opportunities and enhance the sales pipeline.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of enterprise sales experience with a proven history of achieving or exceeding quotas.

• Demonstrated ability to sell software or technology solutions directly to state or local government entities, including cities, public works departments, municipalities, or public agencies; this is a non-negotiable requirement.

• In-depth understanding of government agency purchasing, encompassing capital program budgeting cycles, RFP/RFQ procedures, cooperative purchasing frameworks, and multi-stakeholder approval processes.

• Proven capability to manage complex deals with prolonged sales cycles involving capital planning, engineering, GIS, IT, and procurement stakeholders.

• Familiarity with capital programs, right-of-way, corridor projects, NEPA review, federal funding stipulations, paving coordination, and permitting processes.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for agency executives, technical teams, and operational stakeholders.

• Highly competitive, motivated, and results-driven.

• Strong proficiency with sales tools such as SFDC, Gong, ZoomInfo, Salesloft, or Outreach.

• Residing in Texas.

• Existing client portfolio within Texas.

• Willingness to travel within the state up to 50% of the time.
