
Account Executive, Community and Small Hospital Accounts

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +6 more states.
• Develop and implement territory strategies aimed at community hospitals, smaller healthcare facilities, and targeted healthcare accounts.
• Identify and seek new business opportunities within designated accounts and geographic regions.
• Cultivate relationships with pharmacy directors, hospital executives, financial leaders, operational managers, and local decision-makers.
• Comprehend customer needs, operational challenges, budgets, and decision-making timelines.
• Position BD Pharmacy Automation solutions by articulating customer value, workflow impact, financial advantages, and return on investment.
• Create and deliver customized business cases.
• Oversee the sales process from prospecting and discovery to proposal, negotiation, closing, and internal transition.
• Act as a liaison between assigned accounts and BD’s cross-functional teams.
• Negotiate contracts and finalize opportunities.
• Utilize the RxA sales process and ensure accurate CRM record-keeping.
• Formulate short-, medium-, and long-term account strategies.
• Monitor sales performance, forecasts, competitive activities, and customer interactions.
• Complete and revise quarterly sales territory strategies.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource on BD Pharmacy Automation hardware, software, and solution advantages.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Demonstrated sales experience in healthcare, capital equipment, healthcare technology, pharmacy automation, medical technology, or similar solution-selling environments.
• Capability to engage with local hospital leaders, pharmacy stakeholders, financial leaders, operational decision-makers, and business proprietors.
• Ability to comprehend customer challenges and convey solution value into tangible business results.
• Experience in developing new accounts and enhancing customer relationships within a specified territory.
• Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to interpret and analyze sales performance metrics.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and follow-up abilities.
• Strong business insight and customer-centric problem-solving approach.
• Proven history of achieving or surpassing sales objectives.
• Capacity to manage multiple accounts and opportunities across a defined geographical territory.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with three years of continuous driving history.
• Must adhere to BD's auto safety standards.
• Preferred experience in pharmacy automation or medication management.
