This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
β’ Implement a go-to-market strategy and achieve annual sales targets within a designated territory.
β’ Create and execute a local market sales strategy.
β’ Oversee trade expenditures and negotiate pricing agreements.
β’ Fulfill marketing initiatives and ensure adherence to established programs.
β’ Promote the Simplot product portfolio and enhance business profitability.
β’ Identify and penetrate key operator accounts.
β’ Attain proficiency in the Simplot Sales Process and Food Service Division's go-to-market strategies.
β’ Articulate the selling advantages and product knowledge of the Simplot product line through a consultative approach.
β’ Build and nurture relationships with key management and sales personnel at distributors and other market channels.
β’ Conduct product demonstrations and engage in activities within commercial kitchens.
β’ Achieve sales objectives and manage the product portfolio effectively.
β’ Make sales calls and establish new sales partnerships.
β’ Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Quality Assurance, Culinary, Demand Planning, Production, and Logistics teams.
β’ Analyze industry and marketing trends to propose product recommendations.
β’ Promote and increase sales across the food service product portfolio.
β’ Utilize the Simplot CRM system (salesforce.com) to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
β’ Foster customer acceptance of new product launches and innovations.
β’ Comprehend local market dynamics and integrate them into market sales strategies.
β’ Manage allocated trade budgets effectively.
β’ Ensure that sales forecasts and profit objectives are achieved.
β’ Implement promotional activities and scheduled tasks in line with the division's marketing calendar.
β’ Identify and pursue new operator sales prospects.
β’ Persuade and influence operators, distributors, and internal teams effectively without formal authority.
β’ Must either reside in or be willing to relocate to the Columbia, South Carolina area.
β’ Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university (required).
β’ A minimum of 3 years of experience in foodservice sales.
β’ Strong preference for experience in the foodservice industry.
β’ Capability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds is required.
β’ Willingness to travel/drive up to 50% of the time, including overnight and in-market travel.
β’ Proven track record as a self-starter.
β’ Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage unexpected daily demands effectively.
β’ Strong skills in presentation, written, and verbal communication.
β’ Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and Sales Reporting Systems.
β’ Mobility is highly preferred.
