This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Foster relationships and develop a pipeline across commercial R&D teams, industry researchers, research groups, national laboratories, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Manage the complete commercial lifecycle from prospecting and qualification through to discovery, demonstrations, proposals, and closing deals.
• Execute targeted outreach efforts to physicists and research leaders.
• Conduct technically credible discovery discussions and product demonstrations, aligning researchers’ objectives with product use cases.
• Assist potential customers in structuring pilot plans, defining success criteria, and building confidence in the platform's adoption.
• Navigate interactions with scientific, technical, administrative, procurement, and leadership stakeholders.
• Develop scalable systems for outreach, qualification, account planning, CRM management, follow-up, and forecasting.
• Collaborate with Research Partners to ensure a smooth transition from commercial agreement to onboarding, usage, and long-term adoption.
• Provide market feedback, address objections, and identify emerging use cases for product, research, and engineering teams.
• Manage pipeline, conversion, and revenue objectives while assisting in the formulation of the early sales playbook.
• Strong background in physics or a closely related scientific discipline.
• A PhD or equivalent level of experience is preferred.
• A genuine interest in commercial applications and the adoption of scientific products.
• Comfortable initiating conversations, prospecting new organizations, and building relationships from the ground up.
• Ability to comprehend complex research objectives and articulate technical capabilities as clear, credible value propositions.
• Experience in consultative sales, business development, scientific partnerships, solutions consulting, research commercialization, or a related customer-facing role.
• Excellent communication skills for conducting discovery conversations and delivering product demonstrations.
• Persistence, strong organizational skills, follow-through, and a commitment to measurable commercial outcomes.
