This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Acquire new clients and stimulate revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities.
• Formulate and execute strategies for account acquisition.
• Recognize and cultivate relationships with decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
• Offer comprehensive product and application solutions.
• Set objectives for sales calls and meetings.
• Customize presentations and cater to customer information requirements.
• Configure product and service solutions along with contractual terms.
• Present solutions and negotiate agreements within established commercial frameworks.
• Collaborate with internal teams and advocate for prospects in cross-functional settings.
• Build a personal network and represent the organization at industry events.
• Gather market intelligence to enhance the visibility of the organization, products, and services.
• Stay informed about policies, procedures, regulatory codes, and conduct standards.
• Engage in assessment, development planning, training, coaching, and ongoing industry education.
• Report to the Industry Sales Manager, Discrete.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• A valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time to meet customers.
• Typically requires over 5 years of experience in IOT, IIOT, software, and the annual recurring revenue/subscription model.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or operations management.
• Familiarity with Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things technology.
• Proven experience selling to senior management and executive levels, focusing on outcomes and demonstrating the tangible economic value of products and information software.
• Experience engaging with all levels of a manufacturing enterprise – from CxO to operations leadership, technical leadership, plant leadership, and OEM machine builders.
• Experience in selling and collaborating with datacenter clients.
