Account Coordinator – Commercial Lines

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as a primary contact for clients

• Oversee client inquiries and collaborate with the Account Management Team to provide recommendations regarding coverage adjustments and contractual obligations

• Identify, investigate, and resolve standard client issues

• Assist the Account Management team in remarketing renewals to promote account retention

• Draft proposals as instructed by the Account Manager

• Examine carrier policies for precision against specifications and binders

• Facilitate corrections with insurance carriers

• Process or prepare endorsements and applications

• Ensure prompt responses from carriers concerning claim settlements

• Review policy audits and confirm accuracy

• Coordinate corrections between clients and carriers as directed by the Account Management team

• Communicate significant audit discrepancies to clients

• Review cancellations and strive to retain client accounts when feasible

• Stay updated on industry trends, products, legislation, coverage, and technology

• Integrate innovative technology, including proprietary AI solutions, into the service process

• Carry out other assigned projects, duties, and tasks

⛳️ Requirements

• A Property and Casualty License from the state of domicile is mandatory and must be maintained

• Associate in Insurance (AINS) and/or Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) Designation is preferred

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required

• A four-year degree is preferred

• At least 2+ years of client service experience in the insurance sector, particularly in commercial lines

• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English) is a plus or required in certain locations

• Comprehensive understanding of commercial lines of coverage

• Strong analytical and mathematical abilities

• Proficient in PowerPoint and capable of delivering presentations in person and via teleconferences/webinars

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to comprehend written and verbal communications and interpret information within policies

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word

• Computer literate with the capability to learn new software applications

• Intermediate knowledge of insurance markets, products, services, insurance ratings, and underwriting processes

• Valid driver’s license is required

• Willingness to travel to client locations

• Reliable means of transportation
